H-1B NUMBERS REMAIN AVAILABLE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010-OCTOBER 1, 2009 START DATE

H-1B NUMBERS REMAIN AVAILABLE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010-OCTOBER  1, 2009 START DATE

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced that it has received 45,000 petitions towards the 65,000 standard H-1B quota for Fiscal Year (FY) 2010. The agency has already received at least 20,000 cases – and likely more – that are eligible for the advanced-degree exemption from the standard quota, but will continue to accept both advanced-degree and standard H-1B cap filings until the overall annual limits for the H-1B category are reached.
