Investors have option to invest in the standard program of creation of 10 full-time jobs or participate in the accredited Regional Center Program. Investors may invest in the Regional Center Program that develops real estate projects: warehouse, office and hotel properties. Investors participate in the “upside” by receiving capital gains and revenue distributions. Participation in the Regional Center Program investment is governed by the partnership agreement. The investment must be maintained for duration of the required term of the partnership agreement and sufficient time to receive permanent Green Card.
Advantages of the EB-5 Program:
1. EB-5 program has been in existence since 1996. Investors are required to have either $500,000 or $1 million for each Green Card applicant plus expenses.
2. According to the USCIS rules and regulations, the investors in the accredited regional Center receive priority immigrant visa processing by Citizen and Immigration Service, investors can obtain temporary Green Card in about 1 to 1.5 years from the date of investment.
3. Investors are not required to reside in the same geographic area of investment, and investors can reside in any state in the United States.
4. Investors are not required to actively participate in the management of the limited liability partnership, it is sufficient that investor has ownership in the limited liability partnership or participates as a “passive partner”.
